Life at Wisconsin Black Bear Guide Services

Lodging And Meals:

We meant what we said when we mentioned that this is YOUR HUNT. We do not offer an all inclusive Wisconsin bear hunting package-we offer something better.

Certain bear like certain things just like people do. Some like to stay in a camper, some like to stay in a hotel. Others like to stay at our camp which have all the facilities, including an inside bathroom and shower and will accommodate several people with ample space. Some want lobster and steak every night while others will settle for a sandwich. We don't want you to pay for something that you don't want just because it's wrapped up in a package. If you are planning a Wisconsin bear hunt for the next year and are serious about booking with us the most helpful thing you can do for yourself is to contact me before you submit your application for a harvest permit for the next year. Preferably in October once the current bear season is over.

Everything you want from lodging, meals, processing, taxidermy, stand location distances, etc. can be answered and detailed so its what works for you. Please express any fears (such as heights) or special needs you may have to me and I will do my best to accommodate you in any way I can. Phone calls are best when trying to hammer out details feel free to call me anytime- and if I am not readily available I will return your call as soon as possible.

A Typical Day:

The morning always brings another day of enthusiasm for everyone. After eating breakfast or having a cup of coffee the baits are checked and new plans are made for the evening event. This is the time when our Wisconsin bear hunters who are still looking for that trophy re-check their equipment and take some real life practice shots either with their bow or rifle at camp.

Others who have scored often can take four wheeler rides, fish at local lakes or streams or in season do some small game hunting and or bow hunting for deer.

After a quick lunch everyone returns back to their stands for another hunt. Once another bruin has been taken down many of the bear hunters that are in camp like to come and help retrieve the bear which we encourage. Everyone can enjoy the weighing in of the bear and be part of someone else's long time dream.

The typical war stories are then told around the campfire until everyone retires for the evening.
